Thank you ! Thank you ! Thank You !

One person went far beyond what I could ever have imagined, though you're all so wonderful. Thanks to you I have reached my target, and I am able to clear a couple of things out of the way. Hopefully, in the not-too-distant future, i will be in a position to pay it forward. I hope to be in a place where I can match your generosity with someone else who needs a hand.

I will be closing the fund down just as soon as the last of the transfers has cleared to my bank. This should be tomorrow, or Monday at the latest.

Thank you again. We may never have met but, I've always believed that friends on thr internet are just as valid and important as those we have in 'real life'. You have proven this to be true.

Firstly absolutely massive thanks to those who have answered my plea. You've already lifted a weight from my shoulders.

Secondly, I'm only going to keep it open until next Friday - April 1st. There are so many other causes which require assistance, so I don't want to be too greedy when it comes to myself.

I know that there are big things happening in the world, and I also know that living costs are skyrocketing for everyone. However, my own financial woes are what loom largest for me right now.

I hate having to hold out a begging bowl but, at this moment, it seems to be my only viable option. I realise that it wasn't all that long ago that so many of you raised a substantial sum for me to take a trip to Cardiff. For that, I will be eternally thankful and, because of that, I do not expect any of you to make any contribution for this. If, however, you do find yourself with a spare quid or two, it will be gratefully accepted.

Also, if by some chance I receive more than I need, the surplus will be donated to charity.

I'he just had an email from LiveJournal saying that a lot of people have been having trouble paying for their accounts because of a technical problem. As such , they are giving those affected a three month free extension. My account lapsed last week, and I had no intention of extending it. I've just looked and I have received the 3 free months.

It seems like LJ is trying desperately to prevent its user base from leaving.

Today should have been Rik Mayall's 64th birthday. Unfortunately, the world lost him 8 years ago.

He, and his comedy partner Ade Edmondson, were almost entirely to blame for the shape of my sense of humour. I didn't know Rik, and I never met him, but I miss him as though he was a member of my family.

I would like to apologise to everyone for the amount of notifications you're may be about to get.

I've just forked out for a paid account (just two months for now), and I'm going to upload a few of the icons I was using on LJ.

As thins is my new home, I want to make it cosy and get myself settled :-)

I've finally given in and switched to the New Post Editor. Hopefully this will solve the link problem I've been having. Hopefully, I've got the scheduling right. It took me ages to work out where it was.

Every year, since losing my job, I have booked a 2 night stay in Cardiff for the following year. Every year, I have to cancel the booking shortly before the trip. People think I'm weird to do this but, I have very little to look forward to, so this is my of having something.

I always book for my birthday, but next year it falls on a Saturday (making it expensive), so I've booked for a couple of days before. I've gone with the Angel Hotel on Castle Street, which is right next to the castle. It couldn't be more central.

I hope next year I will finally get to return to my favourite place on Earth.

1. What was the first fanfic you ever wrote?

It was a Torchwood fic called ‘Find Ianto’. It is rubbish and naïve. (If you fancy reading it you can find it here. (For some reason I didn’t put it on AO3.)(Warning for M/M relationship.)

I can't seem to get a grasp on DW, but I shall persevere. It took me some time to get the hang of LJ afterall.

Ok, so I've been on LJ a while now. I've posted a few entries onto Section VII, so maybe I should actually start using the journal bit. For this first entry, let me tell you about myself. The word 'I' will crop up a lot, so please forgive me if I sound a tad egotistical in this post.

I'm a 39 year old woman. I'm average height, over average weight and I wear a lot of black. I've been with my (older) boyfriend for 5 years and I love him dearly.

My obsessions are - The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Doctor Who & Torchwood, The Discworld Novels and Goth/Industial/Rock/Punk Music. I also like classical music and songs from the Musicals.

I want to try and keep any entries I make light, but there is a bit of crap going on in my life at the moment.

Anyway, that's it for now.
