One person went far beyond what I could ever have imagined, though you're all so wonderful. Thanks to you I have reached my target, and I am able to clear a couple of things out of the way. Hopefully, in the not-too-distant future, i will be in a position to pay it forward. I hope to be in a place where I can match your generosity with someone else who needs a hand.

I will be closing the fund down just as soon as the last of the transfers has cleared to my bank. This should be tomorrow, or Monday at the latest.

Thank you again. We may never have met but, I've always believed that friends on thr internet are just as valid and important as those we have in 'real life'. You have proven this to be true.

Firstly absolutely massive thanks to those who have answered my plea. You've already lifted a weight from my shoulders.

Secondly, I'm only going to keep it open until next Friday - April 1st. There are so many other causes which require assistance, so I don't want to be too greedy when it comes to myself.

I know that there are big things happening in the world, and I also know that living costs are skyrocketing for everyone. However, my own financial woes are what loom largest for me right now.

I hate having to hold out a begging bowl but, at this moment, it seems to be my only viable option. I realise that it wasn't all that long ago that so many of you raised a substantial sum for me to take a trip to Cardiff. For that, I will be eternally thankful and, because of that, I do not expect any of you to make any contribution for this. If, however, you do find yourself with a spare quid or two, it will be gratefully accepted.

Also, if by some chance I receive more than I need, the surplus will be donated to charity.

I'he just had an email from LiveJournal saying that a lot of people have been having trouble paying for their accounts because of a technical problem. As such , they are giving those affected a three month free extension. My account lapsed last week, and I had no intention of extending it. I've just looked and I have received the 3 free months.

It seems like LJ is trying desperately to prevent its user base from leaving.

Today should have been Rik Mayall's 64th birthday. Unfortunately, the world lost him 8 years ago.

He, and his comedy partner Ade Edmondson, were almost entirely to blame for the shape of my sense of humour. I didn't know Rik, and I never met him, but I miss him as though he was a member of my family.

I would like to apologise to everyone for the amount of notifications you're may be about to get.

I've just forked out for a paid account (just two months for now), and I'm going to upload a few of the icons I was using on LJ.

As thins is my new home, I want to make it cosy and get myself settled :-)

I can't seem to get a grasp on DW, but I shall persevere. It took me some time to get the hang of LJ afterall.
